Poverty Research Fellows Program
The Poverty Research Fellows (PRF) program integrates research, experiential learning, coursework, and community to advance Notre Dame’s mission of fostering in students both an understanding of poverty and the skills to address it through evidence. Graduates apply these capacities in academia, public policy, nonprofit leadership, consulting, and beyond - prepared to make meaningful contributions in any field they pursue.
Students from all academic disciplines who are motivated to be a force for good through pursuing evidence-based solutions, eager to deepen their understanding of how to effectively conduct research, and passionate about ending poverty are invited to apply for the Poverty Research Fellows program.
- Gain exclusive access to special guest speakers; professional development opportunities; career coaching; alumni and faculty mentorship and networking; and educational opportunities to be part of the evidence-based fight against poverty
- Build a community of multidisciplinary students with a common goal: the pursuit of vocation in service to ending poverty
- Get access to apply for individualized internships, enroll in academic coursework in the Department of Economics, and participate in immersive learning experiences with social service providers involved in anti-poverty research studies or with policy makers in Washington, D.C.
Poverty Research Fellows leave Notre Dame prepared to work at the forefront of evidence-based action against poverty through careers in education, public policy, social services, nonprofit leadership, communications and more.
