The University-wide Data, AI, and Computing (DAC) Initiative, launched in September, aims to advance purposeful data, AI, and computing — excelling in foundational research while catalyzing interdisciplinary collaboration and real-world translation to address pressing societal challenges.

To advance this goal, the Initiative invites proposals for faculty-led working groups that will explore emerging research areas in data, AI, and computing. These groups are intended to bring together interdisciplinary teams of faculty and resources to identify promising directions for future research, recruitment, team science, and translational impact in DAC.

Proposals are due December 1, 2025, at 5 p.m. ET.

The funded working groups selected through this call will meet throughout the spring semester and deliver a report with their recommendations by April 15.
